The machine shop is where you go to mill or turn metal stock into something smaller.
What types of machine operations are possible?
Milling operations produce flat surfaces or channels with flat bottoms in metal stock. Lathe operations (also known as turning) spin a metal stock rod and use a cutting tool to remove portions of the spinning rod. Common metals include aluminum, brass, and steel,
Machining Tools
These tools tend to be very large and very expensive, so we only have a limited number of these, but the machines we do have are quite capable.
